We had just bought a new steam humidifier for the house. Initially, my husband was thinking of getting a cool mist humidifier instead but after reading so much about the hassle related to the maintenance of a cool mist humidifier, I decided that we should get the steam humidifier. Yes, it may be a little dangerous especially with my curious preschooler around but since I only operate it during the day when it is the driest, I think it should be alright as I would be around to supervise him.
